Since 1983, Integrated Electronics has been helping bridge the promise of technology with the needs of clients across the greater Kansas City area.
In 1979, Keith Axe started his electronics career as a car audio installer, working with a national chain and achieving company-wide installer of the year in 1982 and 1983.
In 1983, he and his new bride purchased a home that required wiring for phone, cable TV, and speakers. It was then that Keith asked himself, “who would I call to do this type of work?”
After a quick search of the Yellow Pages, it dawned on him that he should be the guy to call – Integrated Electronics was born. He contacted a builder from his church and they began a partnership. Keith began wiring homes for what little technologies existed at that time.
By 1985, Keith was working for a local electronics retail firm named Brands Mart Stereo. He became the driving force in establishing their custom home installation department. At the time, very few did what Keith did which made him somewhat of a pioneer in the field of home electronics integration. In the early days, there were few custom products to offer but Keith saw the future potential.
In 1996, Keith left Brands Mart to forge a new path. As a humble, one man operation, he built Integrated Electronics from the ground up. He certainly would not be where he is today without the rich blessings from the God he serves, the faithful support of his family, the great dedication and hard work of many of his present and former associates, and the faithful loyalty his clients have bestowed upon him over the years.
Today, Integrated Electronics is by far the largest staff of passionate geeks in the Kansas City area. We are committed to delivering the best client experience possible. Around 25 people make up our current crew, with a complete in-office and technical staff to support you every step of the way.
Keith still gets a thrill out of delivering solutions that his clients understand, appreciate, and use daily to enhance their lives. He is married to his bride, Debbie, and is the father of three great young adults. He is a committed Christian and Bible student, a history buff and a fantasy sports geek.
