Frequently Asked Questions

Q: “I’m interested in what you offer, but I’m feeling a bit intimidated or overwhelmed. What assurance can you give?”

A: We definitely understand that. The world of electronics is never ending, it seems. We want to assure you that we are not salesmen and do not operate as such. Our desire is to provide a solution for your ideas. We are master technicians who love solving problems. You will never feel pressure from us. We offer free consults as well, so you can feel out the situation and decide what is best for you. If you decide not to hire us after the consult, you have the freedom to do so! We are confident we will be able to present a great solution for you, but we understand you may choose to go another direction.

Q: “What kind of properties do you work on?”

A: We specialize in residential properties, but we do commercial work as well. Many of our clients come to us while their property is still in the construction phase. We are quite familiar with this environment, and we have relationships with several builders in the Kansas City area. We also work in fully constructed homes and businesses. So honestly, if you have something more than a pile of dirt, we can work with it!

Q: “What if I don’t know exactly what I want. Do I need to know before calling?”

A: Absolutely not! We enjoy giving recommendations. We know that electronics change often, and our job is to keep up with them. This is something we will discuss with you on the initial walk-through. The walk-through gives us a chance to see your space, hear what you are thinking, and imagine with you what the space could look like.

Q: “I had an idea for something but I didn’t see any examples on your site. Do you do custom work?”

A: Yes! Helping each client find a solution is something we pride ourselves on. We have accommodated some unique requests in the past, like voice-activated dog doors and multi-LED color panel displays in a sport court. We’re always up for a challenge. Just ask!

Q: “Is there a job too small or too big for you?”

A: We’d like to say no to that question! We try our best to help anyone who calls us. There are limiting factors for sure, like scheduling and man-power, but let us know what you are thinking, and we will try to make it happen!

Q: “I see that you primarily work in Kansas City. Do you make exceptions to that?”

A: You’re right! We love Kansas City, but we have done projects outside the city as well. Feel free to give us a call. Let us know what location you are thinking about, and we will let you know if we are able to accommodate your request.

Q: “Can you work with my existing electronics?”

A: As long as your electronics will work with the design, we have no problem with this. You may need additional equipment, and we would be happy to share our product information with you. We have excellent price points on top of the line equipment. We would be happy to direct you to the options that are best suited for what you need. We can also give advice for which products work best together. This is also something we discuss with you on the initial walk-through.

Q: “What can I expect the process to look like?”

A: Wonderful question. We’ve anticipated this and outlined our general process here. If you have further questions, we would be happy to talk with you over the phone. Our number is 913-663-3366. Just give us a call!

Q: “How quickly will I get a quote?”

A: We aim to make our first visit within a week of your phone call. We are just as eager to get your plans underway! Once we make our initial visit, one of our design engineers will compose a quote based on the walk through. The size of the project determines how quickly we can send you the quote. We like to include as many details as possible, so it could take us a few weeks. When we’ve finished, you can review the quote and make any changes. The next step is to schedule a pre-wire.

Q: “How long does a project take?”

A: This answer is as unique as the client and project. Once we do the initial walk-through of your property, we will have a better handle on the scope of the project. After meeting with our scheduling manager, we can then give you a timeline for your project.

Q: “Who will I be working with?”

A: You will have a design engineer, who is also the project manager, and an installation crew with a lead technician. These guys will work with you to see your plans become tangible. We also have lighting and IT specialists and our office staff. Hopefully, you’ll get to know them too! If you’re interested, we have a staff page here.

Q: “My project has been completed, and we are happy. So, what’s next?”

A: Congratulations! We hope you will have years of problem-free enjoyment of your system. However, as you know, electronics change and are sometimes unreliable. Rest assured we will be there to help you when it’s time to update your system or if you need service on a component. We have a dedicated service department, and we offer after-hour service for evenings and weekends. We have you covered!
